ACF-50 application £50 (#ACF050APPLICATION)

ACF-50 (Anti-Corrosion Formula) was originally designed to protect aircraft ACF-50 for Motorcycles from existing and new corrosion and is now available to motorcyclists. Aviation products have to meet rigorously high standards and ACF-50 not only meets these but has been awarded Aviation approvals - MIL-SPEC 81309 types II and III which means it is 'approved for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, electrical systems and electronic components. The US Navy carried out tests using ACF-50 on the jets on their Aircraft Carriers. They found that ACF-50 so significantly reduced the corrosion they had previously experienced they now use ACF-50 all the time! It works perfectly in that type of harsh environment so imagine how well it's going to protect your bike!

When applied ACF-50 forms an 'Active' ultra-thin clear film that will kill any existing corrosion cells and will protect your bike against new corrosion forming. On areas such as switches or under the tank and seat, one application will last up to 12 months. Other more exposed areas will need topping up more regularly. ACF-50 has the ability to 'chemically neutralise road salt' and water will bead on contact and bounce off. Ideal for the bike that is used all year round in all weathers, a superb service spray as ACF-50 is also a lubricant and penetrant (without loosening structural attachments) and if you put your bike away for the winter, applying ACF-50 will ensure that moisture will not be allowed to cause any damage! Untreated moisture will creep into cracks and will not freely evaporate - ACF-50 actively ejects moisture from these areas.
The Facts
  • Kills existing corrosion and prevents new
  • 'ACTIVE' for up to 12 months
  • Excellent lubricant and penetrant
  • Approved for use on electrics and engines
  • Easily applied non-drying, ultra-thin, clear film
  • Very economical
  • Contains no wax, silicon, Teflon or water
How to Use

ACF-50 is 95% product, hence virtually no propellant. Keep the tin in a warm environment, shake very well before use and remember a little ACF-50 goes a long way, so keep a rag handy to soak up any excess - then use the rag to help spread the product. ACF-50 has strong capillary action so will creep into all the areas that moisture can, 'actively' pushing out moisture and replacing it with protection. Go cautiously when applying to callipers to ENSURE YOU KEEP IT OFF THE BRAKES.

Use ACF-50 anywhere, except the brakes, on your bike including the engine and exhaust (will smoke on the first start and burn off down pipes but still slows down corrosion process). Safe on paintwork, most rubbers and brings up black plastic trim a treat. ACF-50 contains no water and is approved for electrics so spray directly into electrical joints and components where it will prevent corrosion induced failures and high resistance joints. Works well at stopping dirt, mud and salt from sticking. You can come back from a winter ride with the bike 'white with salt' - a quick wash off and it's gone with the bike still protected.

Areas not in direct contact with the elements ie tank/seat areas, electrics require treating approx once a year. Other exposed areas re-apply as necessary. You can tell the product is still 'Active; as water will bead on contact...having no water content and not being water-soluble ACF-50 only dissipates by being 'sacrificial' whilst stopping existing or new corrosion so just re-treat as required.

Remember, ACF-50 protects jets on US aircraft carriers! If it works for these jets in these conditions, think how well it's going to work for your bike!

Bike-Seal Application - Front and Rear Wheel
Motorcycles: £50 (BSEAL**)

Scooters: £40 (BSEAL**)

Puncture Prevention

Fibres constitute the backbone of the tyre sealant. The stronger the fibres, the greater the protection for the tyre. The strongest fibres are state-of-the-art synthetic fibres such as those used in tyre cords and bulletproof vests. The more varied the fibres in both length and degree of branching, the faster the seal forms and the more permanent the repair.

Once a strong plug is formed by the fibres, the final seal is provided by filler particles that lodge between the fibres to form an effective air-tight plug. The use of these inorganic fillers is imperative for a high-performance sealant.

Suspension Stability

The function of the liquid in the sealant is the medium by which the fibres and fillers reach the area of the puncture in the tyre. Our products contain anti-corrosive inhibitors which will prevent any damage to the rim or tyre

How it Works

As the tyre rotates, the sealant spreads evenly over the inside surface. This is a mechanical process, not a chemical reaction. Immediately a puncture occurs the air pressure in the tyre forces fibre particles and fillers suspended in the sealant to interlock, forming an airtight plug that prevents further air loss. This action is completed within 2–3-wheel rotations.

It happens so fast that riders will often be unaware of the occurrence of a puncture. Later when a tyre is inspected, the cause of a puncture such as a nail can be safely removed. The turning of the wheels will allow the product to cover the damage, therefore internal pressure will assist in forming the plug

Years of burnt and blasted iron helped Motul to understand the subtle art of lubrication. As real artists, Motul understands that the unavoidable keys for creation are well-maintained tools, machines, and engineering. MotulTech responds to these needs.

MotulTech brings performance improvements to industry by applying its extensive knowledge, by anticipating every arduous operation. Apprehending every form of exertion, MotulTech experts develop products that balance the quest for performance and productivity with respect for users and the environment.  It is both an art and science by which these experts proceed, step by step, inch by inch.

Entering into a partnership with Italian counterpart, Baraldi, MotulTech is now the benchmark in the field of lubricants for high pressure die- casting and aluminium extrusion. It is equipped with its own extensive high-technology R&D facility and ensures in-service monitoring of customers’ products close to their facilities. More than just a cutting fluid or maintenance lubricant, MotulTech ensures a solution tailored to improve industrial productivity.

After the success of the very first semi-synthetic lubricant for cars, Motul Century 2100 in 1966, Motul staked a claim on its passion for invention five years later with the original 100% synthetic lubricant made from esters of vegetal origin and drawing on aviation technologies. 300V becomes a legend, just like the 300 racing victories of the time symbolized by the product name.

Competition and various powerful partnerships helped to establish the colossal awards list and made the brand the global motorsport reference it is today. The passion and excitement of the racetrack also served as the ultimate testing ground for the most stringent requirements.

Now using technology, Motul has developed the bespoke 300V Motorsport line for racing cars enabling the performance of each engine to be optimised in terms of the expected result, depending on the type of race, distance, engine fuel dilution, operating temperature, or other specific parameters. Motul has also developed a specific 300V Factory line that delivers extra power, strong endurance, and higher torque for motorcycle racing.

This 300V expertise continuously inspires every formula of Motul products. Each molecule is considered and developed with the same spirit of bringing to skilled technicians a bespoke solution for every purpose.

Fiveways Motorcycle Centre Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Fiveways Motorcycle Centre Ltd to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
