Registration Confirmation Letter
This is the confirmation that the warranty application has been accepted. When you receive the Registration Confirmation Letter, please check that it contains the correct details.
Provided that the terms and conditions of this warranty are met, your YOU Yamaha Motor Extended Warranty offers protection against the cost or replacement of any factory fitted mechanical or electrical component, that suffers a sudden mechanical or electrical failure.
Mechanical or electrical failure is the unexpected failure of a component which is covered by the warranty and which requires immediate repair or replacement. Wear and tear or normal deterioration is not covered under the definition of mechanical or electrical failure.
Maximum Claims Limit
The Company will pay both parts and labour cost up to a sum equivalent to the purchase price of the Machine:
Your YOU Yamaha Motor Extended Warranty is valid anywhere in the British Islands which includes Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The YOU Yamaha Motor Extended Warranty will also cover your Machine while it is outside of the British Islands, as long as your Motorcycle is not outside the British Islands for more than 60 days and remains within the EEC or EEA. This warranty will not cover any Machine that is outside of the British Islands for more than 60 days during the 12 month warranty period.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
At Yamaha Warranty Services we aim to make the claims process as simple as possible.
If you need to make a claim on this warranty, please return it to any authorised Yamaha dealer. They will confirm whether the claim and your warranty are valid and will administer the claim on your behalf.
On receipt of the invoice, the claim will be settled subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty having been adhered to. If you have any queries the Claims Department can be contacted on 0344 573 8226.
No repair work should be started before the Administrator has approved it and issued a claim number.
Making a claim abroad
If travelling outside of the country where the warranty was registered, take our Motorcycle to an authorised Yamaha dealer and the claim will be handled on your behalf. If this is not possible, you may authorise repair work and in accordance with the terms and conditions, if the claims is valid, we will reimburse the cost of the repair following your return to the British Islands.
We will, following receipt of the repair invoice, reimburse the cost in GBP at the prevailing rate of exchange (if applicable) on the day the repair was completed. All invoices should be made payable to “Yamaha Motor Europe NV Branch UK c/o Yamaha Warranty Services”.
