Hopefully the following Q&A's cope with most of the regular queries you have as a new rider or potential riders parent.

If you have any more questions please call or email.
We are more than happy to help.

Q. Does the Scooter need to be locked when its parked?

A. Yes, as with any bicycle, security is really important. An alarmed disc lock will alert you if people try to wheel the bike away, but really its best to chain the bike to either lamp posts or a bollard. A good quality armoured chain and padlock starts from around £25.

Q. Where can I park my scooter?

A. One of the biggest advantages of a scooter or motorcycle is the ease of parking in the city centre or busy shopping outlets. Free parking is offered very close to the entrance doors of most shopping outlets and Hull City Centre has numerous free parking bays with barriers you can secure your bike to. For all sports fans KC Stadium has free bike bays right around the perimeter of the stadium.

Q. How often do I need an MOT?

A. An MOT is not required until the bike or scooter reaches 3 years of age. See our Workshop & service section for online bookings

Q. How often do I need to have a service?

A. Most models have service intervals of around 3000 miles or 1 year whichever comes sooner. An annual service will be cost approx £85 and will keep the bike running smoothly and reliably. See our Workshop & service section for online bookings

Q. If I want to upgrade my 50cc scooter after a year, what do I do?

A. We happily take any used scooter in part exchange and even buy for cash if necessary. If you have outstanding finance we can deal with that too.

Q. Can I pay monthly or do I have to pay in full?

A. We offer finance facilities on both new and used scooters and motorcycles with very low deposits of only £99. You can spread monthly payments up to 4 years and we can tailor the finance to suit your monthly budget. Don't worry if you under 21 as parents or guardians can potentially guarantee the loan on your behalf.

A. Legally only a helmet is required (Entry level approx £50), however we would strongly advise you invest in some protective gear -gloves are really essential and a waterproof armoured jacket would be strongly recommended. See our online clothing store for more details

Q. How far can I go on £5 of fuel?
